So this is my first blog! I got a lot to say but usually choose quite carefully who I say it to! A friend convinced me to blog! He finds it therapeutic.......I'll see how it goes.......

I recently went to New York with a friend from work. It was my second time there and definitely will not be my last! The city feels like home to me even though my actual home is thousands of miles away from there! Anyway here's basically what went down in NY! I also went to see Tina Turner {My Idol} the day after I came home from NY! It was one of my life goals to hear Simply the Best sung live by the only woman that can!! Amazing!!

Current state of Mind - Still in shock from Tina! AMAZING!! The woman is a Legend!!! Came on at 8.15pm and stayed on until 11pm {20 minute interval in-between}. No crappy support acts. Just Tina, Sparkly outfits and amazing backing singers and dancers!!!! Seats were great! Halfway up, in the centre. Although the new O2 is great! Not a bad seat in the house!!

Current State of Body - Exhausted! Got back from NY on Saturday morning, went to Wexford, got a few hours sleep at 4.00pm, got up went to my cousins 19th birthday party, got to bed at 5am! Same with Sunday night and then I couldn't sleep last night! I am wrecked! Need a holiday!

Got there Monday afternoon, Lashing rain but it was NY rain so who cares! Got a Wendy's and went strolling up a few blocks of 5th Ave. Got back to the hotel and had a few voddies and went to Times Square for dinner, ended up in an Irish Bar and had a bite to eat and a few drinks then went back to the hotel and slept!

Tuesday, Dull weather but dry and not too cold, got up and went to a deli for Breakfast {cup-cake included} strolled around Macy's for a bit then got the Subway to South Ferry. Got a portrait done in Battery park, Had a fight with the cheeky little China-man for trying to charge us more so threw the portrait in the bin and walked off! Played with the squirrels {Vicious little tykes} then got the ferry to Ellis Island and did the tour! So emotional when you really get into it!
Got back to Battery and walked through the Financial district, Ground Zero, Wall street, South Street Seaport & Brooklyn Bridge. Then we strolled up to Chinatown and had a good wander through the shops and streets and ended up having dinner in Chinatown - I ate with Chopsticks! Took me almost an hour, but I did it! Also, I bought myself a rather fetching black silk Kimono with a nice red floral pattern embroidered on it! And a nice blue umbrella!
Then we went to Little Italy, browsed the shops for a bit and walked back to the hotel, stopping at a liquor store for another bottle of Vodka of course!

Wednesday, Woke up a bit late, it was like 10.30am, and snowing!! Heavy but didn't stick and only lasted an hour or so. Got breakfast in another nice little Italian deli {again with the cup-cakes........}. Then we walked the lenght of 5th Ave going into almost every shop! I got myself a pair of Juicy Couture bottoms! So comfy but only fit for indoors! Unless I wanna drive to the garage in the middle of the night with me hair in a pony! Went into Tiffany's, bit disappointing but I was kinda expecting to see Audrey Hepburn in there. Tried on a couple of rings {turns out I'm a 9 and a half} but I didn't like the feeling of them. I'm not an accessories kinda gay! I'm still trying to get used to the watch I bought last year!! Abercrombie and Fitch depressed me no end! Seriously like how gorgeous can some people be! But it inspired me to not eat for three weeks then become a model! It's my new calling in life since I've excepted that I can't be the girl in Paramore!

Then Wednesday afternoon after a mad dash back to the hotel for tickets and a crazy ass cab ride up to the Pulitzer fountain we literally just made the SATC tour!! Great tour, only draw back being it wasn't an open top bus! Coach with tinted windows doesn't make for great photo ops! But great all the same!! Tour dropped us off at the HBO store for SATC merchandise! Got the Martini glasses! Mine was the Charlotte one! Pink, not a fan, but Charlotte is my Favourite! So we went out and bought the makings of Cosmo's and went back to the hotel!

Cut to 5 hours later and we're rubber on the bed, Cosmo's coming out of our ears, I'm dressed in me juicy bottoms, PJ top, and Kimono and we decide we need more vodka! So out we go to find some! After a few unsuccessful visits to convenience stores and a torrid of playful abuse hurled at a rather handsome Aussie man we decided to get dressed and go to the Irish bar across from our hotel!!
There was only about 15/20 people in the bar, all of which became our friends within an hour and we all had a great night, drinking until about 5am, even the barmaid got rubber! Dancing on tables, Swinging from Lamps {I'm not making this up} and at about 3.00am as I was outside smoking, singing with my REAL friends, some bitch in one of the apartments above threw a bucket of water over me! Hilarious! I was soaked!!! Cue a chorus of 'It's raining men'! One of the best nights of my life!!

Thursday, Sunny and very very hot!! Didn't wake up till after 2pm! Kelly was in a heap so I left her and went strolling by myself! Got to Times Square and when I saw Toys R'us I knew it was gonna be downhill from there!
Cut to 5 different types of Monopoly later and I head back for a rest {Hangover kicked in}.
Got up around 8pm and headed to Little Italy for a meal - possibly the nicest pasta {apart from my Ma's} I've ever had! And the Ice-Cream..........I had to ask for a mop!! Soaking!!!
Then we just strolled the 50, 000 blocks back to the hotel and decided that as it was midnight, there wouldn't be a Que at the Empire so we payed it a visit! No Que, went straight up! The city at night was Mesmerizing!! Then we had Wendy's and went back to the hotel!

Friday was a bit dreary and hazy but still not too bad! Checked out and Checked our bags in and went strolling up 5th Ave again! Went to Duane's and got teeth whitener, turbo strong painkillers for mother etc etc!
Then went to Central park and took a Horse and Cart around for an hour!! Good times!! Had TGI's for dinner and got a hummer back to the airport! Over-all, had a ball!! Still love the place just as much! Still feels like home!

The next time I go {I'm thinking maybe August/September} I'm gonna stay in Soho and really spend some time in Soho, Greenwich and Central park!
